Trove Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of Trove, including Trove's websites, applications, ChatGPT integration, digital wardrobe, styling and recommendation features, virtual try-on features, subscription features, and related services (collectively, the "Services").

In these Terms, "Trove," "we," "us," and "our" refer to the Services.

By creating an account, purchasing a subscription, or otherwise using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

Our **Privacy Policy** explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information. Our **Acceptable Use and AI Safety Policy** explains restrictions for AI-generated content and how to report safety concerns. Both are incorporated into these Terms by reference.

1. Eligibility

You must be 18 years of age or older to use the Services.

By using Trove, you represent and warrant that:

You are at least 18 years old;
You have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms; and
Your use of the Services does not violate applicable law.

2. The Trove Services

Trove is an AI-powered wardrobe, styling, recommendation, and shopping-discovery service. Depending on the features available to you, Trove may allow you to:

Create and manage a digital wardrobe;
Upload clothing photos, screenshots, and product images;
Upload photos of yourself for supported features;
Store sizing and body-measurement information;
Receive AI-generated outfit and styling recommendations;
Receive personalized recommendations based on wardrobe, preferences, measurements, feedback, and prior activity;
Generate or view virtual try-on images;
Save outfits, favorites, and generated content;
Discover products offered by third-party merchants; and
Access Free or Premium features.

Features may differ by platform, subscription plan, device, region, or technical availability.

3. Accounts

You may need an account to use some or all of the Services.

You agree to:

Provide accurate account information;
Keep your login credentials secure;
Promptly notify us of suspected unauthorized access; and
Accept responsibility for activity conducted through your account to the extent permitted by law.

You may not sell, transfer, or share your account in a manner that compromises the security or integrity of the Services.

4. User Content

4.1 Your Ownership

You retain ownership of photos, wardrobe content, measurements, prompts, text, feedback, and other content that you submit to Trove ("User Content"), subject to any rights held by third parties in that content.

4.2 License to Operate the Services

You grant Trove a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, transform, analyze, transmit, and display your User Content only as reasonably necessary to operate, provide, personalize, secure, maintain, and support the Services you use.

This license includes actions technically necessary to provide the Services, such as resizing an image, removing a background, extracting clothing attributes, generating embeddings, analyzing an image, combining content into an outfit, generating a virtual try-on image, or transmitting content to a service provider that performs a requested function for Trove.

This license does not transfer ownership of your User Content to Trove.

4.3 AI Training

Trove does not use your personal information, private photos, body measurements, wardrobe content, or other User Content to train generalized AI models.

4.4 Your Responsibility for User Content

You represent and warrant that:

You own your User Content or have the rights and permissions necessary to upload and use it with Trove;
If your User Content depicts another person, you have appropriate permission from that person to upload and process the image;
Your User Content does not unlawfully infringe another person's copyright, privacy, publicity, intellectual-property, or other rights; and
Your User Content and use of the Services comply with applicable law and these Terms.

Do not upload another person's private or sensitive image without appropriate permission.

5. AI-Generated Recommendations and Content

Trove uses artificial intelligence and machine-learning systems. AI outputs can be inaccurate, incomplete, inconsistent, or unsuitable for your specific circumstances.

Depending on the feature and deployment configuration, the current implementation uses OpenAI GPT-5.6 Luna (gpt-5.6-luna), GPT-5.6 Terra (gpt-5.6-terra), and GPT Image 2 (gpt-image-2); Jina Embeddings v5 Omni Small (jina-embeddings-v5-omni-small) and Jina Reranker M0 (jina-reranker-m0); and OpenAI text-embedding-3-small (text-embedding-3-small) as a text-embedding fallback. Model selection may vary by deployment configuration. More detail about AI safety restrictions is in the Acceptable Use and AI Safety Policy.

You are responsible for deciding whether to rely on or act on an AI-generated recommendation.

Trove does not guarantee that:

An outfit recommendation will suit your personal taste;
A recommended product will be available;
Product information will remain accurate or current;
A generated image will exactly match a real product;
A recommendation will be appropriate for every event, workplace, dress code, climate, or social setting; or
AI-generated content will be error-free.

6. Virtual Try-On and Fit-Related Features

Virtual try-on images are simulations.

They may not accurately represent real-world:

Fit;
Size;
Garment length;
Body proportions;
Draping;
Fabric behavior;
Texture;
Color;
Transparency;
Construction details; or
Overall appearance.

Any size, fit, body-measurement, or garment-fit recommendation provided by Trove is an estimate and not a guarantee that a product will fit you.

You should review the merchant's actual product description, size chart, measurements, return policy, and other product information before purchasing.

7. Body Measurements and Appearance Information

If you provide height, clothing size, bust/chest, waist, hip, or other body measurements, Trove may use that information to personalize styling, fit-related, recommendation, and virtual try-on features.

These features are intended for clothing and styling purposes. Trove does not provide medical advice, health diagnosis, or clinical assessment through body-measurement features.

8. Free and Premium Plans

Trove may offer a free plan and one or more paid Premium plans.

The features, limits, pricing, and availability of each plan may change over time. Material changes affecting an active paid subscription will be communicated as required by applicable law.

9. Paid Subscriptions, Billing, and Automatic Renewal

Paid subscriptions are processed through Waffo Pancake unless otherwise stated at checkout.

Trove may offer monthly and yearly subscription plans. The price, billing frequency, and material subscription terms will be shown before purchase.

9.1 Automatic Renewal

Unless you cancel, a paid subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period and the applicable subscription fee will be charged using your selected payment method.

By purchasing an automatically renewing subscription, you authorize Trove and Waffo Pancake to charge the applicable recurring subscription fees until you cancel.

Where required by law, Trove will obtain your affirmative consent to automatic-renewal terms and provide renewal or annual reminder notices.

9.2 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through the cancellation method made available with your account or purchase flow.

If you enrolled online, Trove will provide an online method to cancel the subscription.

Unless otherwise required by law:

Cancellation stops future renewals;
Your Premium access continues through the end of the billing period you already paid for; and
Your account will then revert to the applicable Free plan, if available.

9.3 Price Changes

We may change subscription pricing. If a price change affects an active subscription, we will provide notice and obtain any consent required by applicable law before the new price takes effect.

9.4 No Free Trial

Trove currently does not offer a free trial for Premium subscriptions unless a particular promotion expressly states otherwise.

10. Refund Policy

Except where required by applicable law, subscription payments are non-refundable.

This means we generally do not provide refunds or credits for:

Partially used monthly or yearly billing periods;
Unused Premium features;
Failure to cancel before a renewal; or
A decision to stop using the Services before the end of a paid billing period.

Nothing in this section limits any refund, cancellation, chargeback, or consumer right that cannot legally be waived.

If Trove later offers subscriptions through Apple, Google, or another third-party marketplace, purchases made through that marketplace may also be subject to that marketplace's billing and refund rules.

11. Product Discovery, Affiliate Links, and Third-Party Merchants

Trove may display or recommend products sold by third-party merchants, retailers, marketplaces, or brands.

Unless Trove expressly states otherwise for a particular transaction:

Trove is not the seller or retailer of those products;
Your purchase is made directly from the third-party merchant;
The merchant controls product pricing, inventory, sizing, availability, payment, shipping, taxes, returns, refunds, warranties, and customer service; and
The merchant's own terms and privacy policy apply to your transaction with that merchant.

Trove does not guarantee the accuracy, quality, safety, legality, availability, or performance of third-party products.

Affiliate Compensation

Some product links may be affiliate links. Trove may receive a commission or other compensation if you click or make a qualifying purchase through such a link, at no additional cost to you unless otherwise disclosed.

Affiliate compensation does not change the merchant's responsibility for the product or transaction.

12. Acceptable Use

You may not use the Services to violate law, infringe another person's rights, or create, request, upload, edit, store, or distribute any of the following content:

Pornographic, sexually explicit, or other prohibited NSFW content, including non-consensual intimate imagery;
Graphic violence, gore, credible threats, or content that encourages serious physical harm;
Hate speech or content that promotes violence or dehumanization based on a protected characteristic;
Child-unsafe sexual content, child sexual abuse material (CSAM), sexual exploitation of minors, or attempts to sexualize a minor;
Deepfakes, deceptive impersonation, or non-consensual manipulation of an identifiable person's image; or
Content that infringes copyright, trademark, publicity, privacy, or other intellectual-property rights, including counterfeit or unauthorized branded material.

You also may not use the Services to:

Upload images of another person without appropriate rights or permission;
Harass, exploit, impersonate, or deceive others;
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, databases, or networks;
Introduce malware, malicious code, automated attacks, or harmful technical content;
Interfere with the operation, security, or integrity of the Services;
Scrape or systematically extract data from the Services in violation of these Terms;
Circumvent usage limits, access controls, or subscription restrictions;
Reverse engineer the Services except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by applicable law;
Resell or commercially redistribute access to the Services without our written permission; or
Use the Services for unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive purposes.

Our Acceptable Use and AI Safety Policy provides additional content standards, reporting instructions, and information about our review process. You may report a safety concern by emailing support@trovefinds.my with the subject Content Safety Report.

We may investigate suspected violations and take appropriate action, including restricting or suspending access.

13. Third-Party Services and Integrations

Trove relies on third-party services to provide parts of the Services, which may include OpenAI, Supabase, Vercel, Waffo Pancake, and Jina AI / Elastic.

Your use of a third-party service may also be governed by that provider's terms and privacy policies.

For recommendation features, Trove may send clothing descriptions and clothing images to Jina AI / Elastic for embedding and retrieval. When wearer-affinity image retrieval is enabled, Trove may also send a photo you uploaded of yourself to create an image embedding used to retrieve clothing recommendations. That image-embedding request does not include your body measurements. This processing is for recommendation retrieval, not facial recognition, identity verification, biometric identification, or generalized AI training. See the Privacy Policy for more detail.

ChatGPT Integration

If you use Trove through ChatGPT:

OpenAI operates ChatGPT;
Your ChatGPT account and broader ChatGPT conversation are governed by OpenAI's terms and privacy practices;
Trove receives only information transmitted to Trove through the relevant integration request; and
Trove does not receive your entire ChatGPT conversation merely because Trove is used within ChatGPT.

Trove is not responsible for the availability, operation, or policies of ChatGPT or other third-party platforms.

14. Trove Intellectual Property

Except for User Content and third-party content, the Services and their software, design, branding, interfaces, databases, text, graphics, logos, and other materials are owned by or licensed to Trove and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Subject to these Terms, Trove grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Services for their intended purpose.

No rights are granted except as expressly stated in these Terms.

15. AI Outputs

Subject to applicable law and any rights belonging to third parties, you may use AI-generated outputs provided to you through Trove for your personal purposes.

Because AI systems may produce similar or identical outputs for different users, Trove does not guarantee that an AI-generated output is unique to you.

You are responsible for reviewing outputs before using, publishing, sharing, or relying on them.

16. Feedback

If you voluntarily provide ideas, suggestions, or feedback about Trove, you grant us permission to use that feedback without restriction or compensation, provided we do not publicly identify you as the source without your permission.

17. Service Availability and Changes

Trove is an evolving product. We may add, modify, suspend, limit, or discontinue features, including beta or experimental features.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability. Features may be temporarily unavailable because of maintenance, outages, third-party service failures, model-provider limits, security incidents, or other technical conditions.

Where a change materially affects an active paid subscription, we will provide any notice or remedy required by applicable law.

18. Suspension and Termination

You may stop using Trove at any time and may delete your account through available account controls or by contacting us.

We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe that:

You materially violated these Terms;
Your activity creates a security, fraud, legal, or abuse risk;
Continued access could harm Trove, users, third parties, or the Services; or
We are required to do so by law.

Where reasonable, we may provide notice before termination, but we are not required to do so where immediate action is necessary for security, legal compliance, fraud prevention, or protection of users.

Account deletion and personal-information retention are governed by our Privacy Policy.

19. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Services are provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE."

Trove disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranties arising from course of dealing or usage of trade, to the extent those warranties may legally be disclaimed.

Without limiting the above, Trove does not warrant that:

The Services will always be available, secure, or error-free;
Recommendations or AI outputs will be accurate or suitable;
Virtual try-on results will match real-world appearance or fit;
Third-party product information will be accurate or current; or
A third-party product or merchant will meet your expectations.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty disclaimers, so some of these disclaimers may not apply to you.

20. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Trove and its operator, affiliates, service providers, licensors, and personnel will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenues, lost data, loss of goodwill, or business interruption arising from or relating to the Services.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Trove's total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Services or these Terms will not exceed the greater of:

The amount you paid to Trove during the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim; or
US$100.

These limitations apply regardless of the legal theory of liability and even if a remedy fails of its essential purpose.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

21. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Trove, its operator, affiliates, service providers, and personnel from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or relating to:

Your unlawful use of the Services;
Your User Content;
Your violation of another person's rights; or
Your material violation of these Terms.

This section does not require you to indemnify Trove for Trove's own unlawful conduct.

22. Disputes

Before filing a formal legal claim, you and Trove agree to make a reasonable good-faith effort to resolve the dispute informally by contacting the other party and describing the issue.

Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable consumer right or any right to bring a matter in small-claims court where permitted by law.

23. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as the Services, pricing, technology, or law changes.

If we make a material change, we will provide notice as required by applicable law. The updated Terms will state a new Effective Date.

If applicable law requires affirmative consent to a change, the change will not apply until the required consent is obtained.

24. Miscellaneous

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect to the extent permitted by law.

Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later.

You may not assign these Terms without our consent, except where applicable law provides otherwise. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, financing, sale of assets, or similar transaction.

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any additional terms presented for a specific feature or purchase, constitute the agreement between you and Trove regarding the Services.
